Brad Rothman is a Southwest Florida attorney with significant experience litigating in
the areas of employment law, insurance law, personal injury, and commercial litigation.

In the area of employment law, Mr. Rothman handles cases involving discrimination
(age, gender, race, national origin), sexual harassment, withholding of wages or overtime
pay, the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), wrongful termination, FMLA retaliation,
whistle-blowers protection, non-compete agreements, unemployment appeals,
employment contracts, ERISA, and employee benefits.

In the area of insurance law, Mr. Rothman handles a wide array of cases including
catastrophes, hurricane damage, fire, theft, uninsured motorist, business owners, home
owners, insurer bad faith, sink holes, flood, wind, condominium losses, business
interruption, additional living expense, life insurance, health insurance, disability
insurance, and most other matters involving litigation against an insurer.  Mr. Rothman
additionally handles first and third party bad faith claims against insurance companies.
Mr. Rothman also has a strong interest in special education law, and serves as an advocate for children with
disabilities in the school system.  In the area of special education law, Mr. Rothman handles matters involving the
Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), the Rehabilitation Act, and the Americans with Disabilities Act.  
Mr. Rothman represents children with disabilities and their families at all stages of the process, from IEP meetings
to administrative hearings to federal court litigation.

In 2009, Mr. Rothman was named a Rising Star by Florida Super Lawyers magazine.  Mr. Rothman earned his
law degree with honors from University of Florida, where he served as Senior Research Editor of the Florida Law
Review, and received the Law Review's Frank E. Maloney Award (outstanding candidate) and Outstanding
Associate Editor Award.  While in law school, Mr. Rothman authored 401(k) Plans in the Wake of the Enron
Debacle, 54 Fla. Law. Rev. 921.

Before law school, Mr. Rothman earned a master's degree from Columbia University, before working on a
government contract supporting the Federal Aviation Administration as a master's level industrial/organizational
practitioner. Mr. Rothman earned his bachelor's degree from Quinnipiac University, graduating magna cum laude.

As an active part of the community, Mr. Rothman is a member of the Northside Naples Kiwanis Club, and
volunteers his time to working on Southwest Florida voter protection and election law issues.
